Meera Popkins and Schizophrenia

Meera Popkins, a Broadway star that played in "Cats", "Miss Saigon" and, "Starlight Express", was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1997. Accustomed to perfection, she soon slipped down to nothing. She soon began to be rejected from the theater and lost everything. Without a house or a car, she soon began to lose her confidence and spirit. With her hopes down, she soon became depressed because of her schizophrenia.

Knowing that she had to fix everything that had gone wrong, she began to fire up a drive from deep within herself. She started a waitress job and slowly started to date again. Her spirits shot up when she was accepted for a job with a dinner theater that was doing a Christmas show. After they had accepted her the AMDA accepted her too and she started working for shows like "Annie", "Once Upon a Mattress", and others.

After she was accepted by the AMDA, he life started again on its up rise. I think schizophrenia is a severe psychological disorder that can severely alter your lifestyle. It may cause you to think less clearly, but there are people like Meera Popkins that learn how to alter this aspect of their life.

I like how you connect disorder and the effects of the disorder. Although I do like how your blog flows, I don't see much details about the psychological disorder. I think it would be much better if you give me more details about the disorder.
I would give you 95 out of 100.

Overall the information was not completely there. I enjoyed how you presented everything, and liked the person you chose. She seems to be very interesting. =)

I think this was a good blog. What was Meera like before this disorder set in? This kind of reminds me of how sometimes we get really down, but then after a while, we get back onto things. It's nice to hear that she was able to do that, too.

that is so sad how that happened to her. I like how u connected how badly it affected her. I also like that you kinda stress that she was not born with it but the events in her life contributed to thr disorder.

Good job picking a person nobody knows...gosh Nikki. jk I love youu :) Nice job identifying who she was and how the disorder has affected her life, yet she still can perform. I think it would help if I knew more about schizophrenia though. Its too bad she developed it and wasn't even born with it!
